Annual examinations 2021 will commence from tomorrow December 29, 2022 

Khairpur, December 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):Syed Mehdi Shah Rashdi, Controller of Examinations, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur has announced that Annual Examinations-2021 of ADA (B.A), ADS (B. SC), ADC (B. Com), ADS (Home Economics) Part-I and M.A (Previous) will commence from tomorrow Thursday December 29, 2022 at all affiliated Degree Colleges of University at Sukkur and Larkana regions. The timetable of examinations, examinations material and admit slips of appearing candidates have been sent to all Degree Colleges and at their respective centers.

The Controller has also announced that Annual Examinations of ADA (B.A), ADS (B. SC), ADC (B. Com), ADS (Home Economics) Part-II and M.A (Final) will be conducted from Thursday January 05, 2023 at all affiliated Degree Colleges of University at Sukkur and Larkana regions. The Controller has announced that Inspection Teams have also been constituted for smooth and transparent conduct of examinations. The candidates are advised to appear in the Examinations as per timetable.

One-day awareness seminar on banking on equality for female student held

Khairpur, December 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):One-Day Awareness Seminar on “Banking on Equality” for Female Students of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur was held at University organized by the State Bank of Pakistan in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Society of University.

Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over the seminar while Dr. Sharjeel Noor Channa, Deputy Commissioner, Khairpur was the chief guest, Mr. Roohal Khan Khoso, S.S.P, Khairpur, Prof. Dr. Minhoon Khan Laghari, Director Institute of Business Administration and Mr. Muhammad Ismail Chief Manager State Bank of Pakistan, Sukkur were the guests of the honour.

Talking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur is catering the academic needs of the area as well as country with excellence. Dr. Ibupoto appreciated the efforts of State Bank of Pakistan for empowering the women. Dr. Ibupoto stressed the need for seed money to the business incubation centre at University with the help of the State Bank of Pakistan.

He said this seminar will provide ample opportunities to the female students of the University in the job opportunities and internship facilities at State Bank. He extended his cordial thanks to Deputy Commissioner Khairpur and S.S.P Khairpur for sparing their precious time to attend this seminar.

Dr. Sharjeel Noor Channa said Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur is contributing positively for the capacity building of the students and socioeconomic building. He said it is matter of immense pleasure and rejoice for me that I remained student of this University.

He remarked that women empowerment is essential for change for future generation and for social fabric. He lamented that there is domestic violence with women, it is need of the time to change our mind-set. He said this awareness seminar will be a soft message for the women empowerment. He commended the efforts of Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for taking drastic actions for the better governance of the University.

Mr. Roohal Khan Khoso said that it is need of time to provide social justice to the women at large so owing to lack of education, male dominated society and poverty, women are denied from their legal rights. He stressed the need to provide women rights because women are also agent of social change.

He remarked that entrepreneurship has importance in Sindh because local product is available i.e. handicraft, cultural items but there is need to recognize their significance and women handmade items may be exported abroad for marketing. Prof. Dr. Minhoon Khan Laghari said this is a very good initiative taken by the State Bank of Pakistan for providing equal opportunities to the female students.

He said the Institute of Business Administration has a business plan. We have to embark this plan to collaborate with government and private organizations. Mr. Muhammad Ismail said there is gender gap in our society.

It is need of the time to enhance female ratio in the banking sector as result capacity building of the State Bank enhanced. He said gender diversity and inclusion are very essential for prosperity of the country. Similarly, the State Bank is also committed to provide job opportunities, internship and loan facilities to the girls as well as transgender. He appreciated the good will gesture extended by the Vice Chancellor.

Miss Roma, Officer State Bank, Sukkur delivered presentation on the topic. She shed light on state of women financial inclusion in Pakistan. She said equal opportunities for all genders to access and to take part in all financial endeavours are critical for sustainable and inclusive economic growth in any country.

She said banking on equality policy pillar depend on women centric products and outreach targets. She said that our aim is to increase women ratio in financial sector to 20% by 2024. She said that we are committed to provide all possible facilities to the female students at educational institutions. Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences accorded his vote of thanks to the participants.

He said this seminar will equip the female students to aware about the career building. Career Development Workshop 22’ Arranged by SPE

University of Sargodha Vice Chancellor presents rs4.3 MLN cheque to Governor Punjab for Flood Relief Fund

The Vice Chancellor of University of Sargodha Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas presented a cheque of Rs4.3 million to Governor Punjab and Chancellor, Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman for flood-affected people from the faculty, staff and students of the University.

Briefing the premier about flood relief activities of the university

Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas expressed that the university had also handed over a truck loaded with relief goods including flour, wheat, rice, ghee, dry fruits, biscuits, milk, juice, water, blankets, bed sheets, carpets, shawls, shoes, mosquito net, wool matters, pillows, prayer rug, towels, medicine and other daily necessities for the flood affected people. The VC also apprised the adoption of Punjab Regularization of Services Act 2018.

The concerns over the transfer of Sargodha Medical College (SMC) from the higher education department to the specialised healthcare and medical education department were also discussed in the meeting.

The Governor Punjab and Chancellor said that the role of educational institutions in nation-building is enormous and these institutes had assumed an important place in the wake of the government’s efforts for rehabilitation and reconstruction of flood-affected areas.

He also appreciated the university’s role in providing relief to students in flood-hit regions and also lauded the gesture of the employees of the University for contributing to the government’s rehabilitation efforts.

Vice Presidents review beefed up security at IIUI 

Islamabad, December 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):In the light of the directions of H.E. Dr. Hathal Homud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University (IIU) to beef up the security and maintain the strict checks at the entry gates, a visit was conducted by university high ups to review the arrangements and observance of the high priority guidelines.

The team that visited the entry gates of the university on Thursday included Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed Vice President Research and Enterprise, Dr. Ayaz Afsar Vice President Academics and Dr. Samina Malik Vice President Female Campus.

The Vice Presidents desired that the as per directions of the worthy President, it must be ensured that everyone should wear the university cards and no official or the students shall be allowed to use transport or enter into university without proving his/ her identity through valid cards. University security personnel were also further sensitized about strict checks at gates and they were also guided to explain basic SOPs to cooperate with security staff.
