LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in Lahore organized a seminar to commemorate the Defense Day of Pakistan, honoring the sacrifices made by the nation’s armed forces and martyrs. The event, held in the UVAS Conference Hall, featured performances of patriotic songs by students and staff, reflecting the day's theme of promoting patriotism and nationalism.
According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the seminar was presided over by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Masood Rabbani and attended by Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr. Kamran Ashraf, along with a large gathering of faculty members, staff, and students. The seminar aimed to educate the younger generation on the significant contributions of the Pakistan Army and the citizens who defended the country during critical times.
In his address, Prof Dr. Masood Rabbani emphasized the importance of September 6, 1965, in Pakistan's history, marking the day when Indian forces launched attacks across various borders, which were met with firm resistance by the Pakistan armed forces. Dr. Rabbani paid tribute to the courage and bravery demonstrated by the armed forces and urged attendees to contribute to the nation's development with knowledge, dedication, and honesty.
