Debating Gala 2026 Concludes at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences with Nationwide Participation

Lahore: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) hosted a four-day Debating Gala 2026, commemorating Marka-e-Haq, which culminated with a prize distribution ceremony attended by notable dignitaries. The event featured declamation, parliamentary debate, and Model United Nations (MUN) competitions, drawing participation from over 700 students across more than 60 institutions in Pakistan. Government College University Lahore emerged victorious in all three categories.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the concluding ceremony was presided over by Dr. Musaddiq Asif, Chief Executive Officer of Seasons Group of Industries, alongside UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani, who distributed shields and trophies to winners. Distinguished guests, including Dr. Muhammad Arshad, Ex-President of Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council, and Dr. Asif Salman Sahi, Former Director General Extension Livestock Punjab, were present to witness the event's success.

During the ceremony, Dr. Musaddiq Asif emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship to students, urging them to consider starting their own businesses. Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani paid tribute to the Pakistani army for their courage during Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos and praised the efforts of participating students and organizers. He highlighted his commitment to improving educational quality and research at UVAS, aiming for graduates to excel internationally and contribute significantly to relevant industries.

Dr. Arshad expressed confidence in Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani's leadership to enhance the university's educational standards. The event concluded with Dr. Maryam Javed, Convener of the UVAS Debating Society, delivering a vote of thanks.
