Turbat: The University of Turbat has successfully completed the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) assessments of undergraduate programs at its affiliated colleges, adhering to the Higher Education Commission's PSG 2023 framework. The assessments, conducted on May 7, 2026, took place at Government Girls Degree College Turbat and Government Atta Shad Degree College Turbat.
According to University of Turbat, the review process was managed by the Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, alongside Divisional Monitoring Officer Prof. Barkat Ismail. The assessment teams comprised experts including Dr. Adnan Riaz, Mr. Changaiz Ahmed, and Ms. Aziza Aman for BS English; Dr. Jahangir Khan, Dr. Zafar Ahmed, and Ms. Aziza Aman for BS Zoology; and Dr. Irshad Mayar, Mr. Ameer Bakhsh, and Mr. Noor Ahmed for BS Botany. The teams examined Self-Assessment Reports, course files, program documents, and other academic resources, while also engaging with faculty and students to evaluate educational processes.
In exit meetings with college principals, the assessment teams, along with the DMO and Director QEC, identified key areas for academic enhancement, such as strengthening departmental semester committees, improving academic monitoring, enhancing lab and library facilities, and expanding digital resources. The need for regular awareness sessions on assessment standards and quality assurance was also emphasized. College administrations and the DMO welcomed the feedback, committing to implement the recommendations. Dr. Riaz Ahmed commended the coordination efforts of Prof. Barkat Ismail and reiterated the university's dedication to advancing academic standards in its affiliated colleges.
