Turbat, The University of Turbat (UoT) conducted its first Board of Faculty meeting for the Faculty of Social Sciences on June 6, 2024, marking a significant step in discussing and advancing various academic matters for the faculty.
According to University of Turbat, the meeting was chaired via video link by Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Pro Vice-Chancellor at UoT. The agenda included reviewing and approving the minutes from the Departmental Boards of Studies for the Political Science, Sociology, and Education Departments. Members addressed and resolved several issues pertinent to academic development and emphasized the necessity of implementing decisions from statutory bodies to achieve academic excellence.
During the meeting, each department chair presented a detailed report on their department’s recent activities, challenges, and plans for the upcoming semester and academic year. Dr. Ahmed highlighted the meeting’s role in laying a foundation for future academic successes and reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to academic and infrastructure enhancement.
The session underscored the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation and collective commitment to foster a better learning and research environment at the university. Attendees included chairs from various departments, faculty members, and key administrative personnel involved in enhancing educational quality and standards at UoT.
