Turbat, The University of Turbat (UoT) has distributed laptops to students under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme Phase-III. The distribution ceremony, held on November 23, 2023, was presided over by the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, and attended by numerous faculty members and students.
According to University of Turbat, the ceremony was attended by key university personnel, including Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and Deans of various faculties. The Vice-Chancellor urged students to use the laptops to enhance their academic and research capabilities and to develop necessary technology skills for their future careers. He emphasized the importance of technology in education and daily life, especially in the rapidly evolving field of Information Technology.
The Vice-Chancellor clarified that the selection process for laptop recipients was conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in line with prescribed procedures. Mr. Bilal Ur Rahman, the focal person of the PM’s Laptop Scheme at UoT, highlighted that over 1300 laptops will be distributed to selected UoT students.
The laptops were distributed by the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and various department heads and deans, signifying the university’s commitment to equipping its students with the tools needed for academic success in the digital age.
