UET Lahore Hosts Transformative Workshop for Administrative Staff

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, in a bid to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its administrative operations, recently hosted a two-day workshop aimed at transforming the role of its administrative staff. The event, organized by the Faculty Development Program (FDP) in collaboration with the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), took place on July 1st and 2nd at Masood Hall within the Electrical Engineering Department.

The workshop, titled “From Friction to Facilitation: Rethinking the Role of Administration at UET,” was specifically designed for administrative and clerical staff from Grades 10 to 16. It concentrated on improving service orientation and professional behavior, as well as honing communication skills. The initiative also sought to strengthen the critical relationship between faculty, administration, and students.

The event underscores the forward-looking vision of UET Lahore’s leadership, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat. Both have been vocal advocates for the development of the university’s human resources, spanning both academic and administrative realms. Their leadership is seen as pivotal in steering UET toward achieving global standards in academic competitiveness.

The workshop was lauded for its successful execution, with acknowledgments extended to Prof. Dr. Aneela Anwar, the FDP Lead, and Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz, Director of QEC, for their roles in organizing the event. Special recognition was also given to Mr. Omayer Arshad, who served as the resource person, providing insightful and engaging sessions that energized participants.

The workshop is seen not merely as a training exercise but as the launch of a transformative journey towards a more collaborative and facilitative administrative environment at UET.
