Karachi, In a recent address, Siraj-ul-Haq, leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, emphasized the crucial role of qualified leadership in national development and prosperity, drawing a parallel with Japan’s post-World War II resurgence. Haq critiqued Pakistan’s historical governance, highlighting the detrimental impact of corrupt practices and ineffective political systems on the country’s progress.
According to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Haq pointed out the challenges faced by Pakistan since its independence, including the failure to establish an Islamic system based on the Quran and Sunnah. He blamed the ruling elite for fostering a culture of backbiting in politics and indebting the nation through loans from the IMF and World Bank. Haq underscored the dire state of the nation, where a significant portion of the population lacks access to clean water, the economy is in shambles, and the justice system is biased against the common man.
Emphasizing the importance of February 8, Haq urged the nation to seize the opportunity to change its destiny by supporting the vision of a prosperous, corruption-free Islamic welfare state. He expressed his vision for a nation where the principles of justice and equality are upheld, and the needs of the common man are prioritized.
