Jamaat-e-Islami Announces Scrutiny of Women Candidates’ Papers for Punjab Assembly on December 27

Karachi, Dr. Farid Ahmed Paracha, Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, announced that the scrutiny of nomination papers for the women’s national and provincial assembly seats of Jamaat-e-Islami in Punjab will take place on December 27. This announcement was made during a meeting at Mansurah with the election cell officials of Jamaat-e-Islami.

According to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Dr. Paracha expressed satisfaction with the completion of the nomination paper submission process for Jamaat-e-Islami’s candidates for national and provincial assemblies across the country. He highlighted that the specific focus on December 27 would be on the women’s seats in the Election Commission of Punjab.

The meeting, chaired by Dr. Paracha, who also serves as the secretary of the election cell, was attended by prominent members of the party including Hafiz Saifur Rehman, Rasheed Ahmed, Farhan Shaukat Hanjara, Ayaz Umar, Inayat Rehman, Umar Farooq, and Zafar Iqbal Nikiana. The gathering underscored the party’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and effective electoral process for its candidates, particularly emphasizing the role of women in the political landscape.
