JAMSHORO, The basketball team of the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, has achieved second place in the All Pakistan Basketball Inter-University Championship Zone ‘K’. The championship was hosted by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, and supported by the Higher Education Commission Islamabad, as detailed by Sindh University’s in-charge director of sports, Ajweed Ahmed Bhatti.
According to University of Sindh, along with teams from Sindh Agricultural University Tando Jam, Isra University Hyderabad, and Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana, participated in the championship. The Sindh University team showcased exceptional skills throughout the matches, ultimately securing the second position in the tournament.
The prize distribution ceremony, held after the final match, was attended by Professor Dr. Akram Ansari, director of the Center for Physical Education, Health and Sports Sciences at Sindh University. Dr. Ansari honored the successful teams with their prizes. Sports directors from all five participating universities were present at this event, celebrating the achievements of the teams and the spirit of sportsmanship in the inter-varsity competition.
