LAHORE, The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore is set to host a one-day workshop titled “GHAR: Green Housing, Affordable, Resilient – Challenges and Opportunities” on December 5, 2023.
According to University of Engineering and Technology, the workshop is designed to enhance the skills of architects, urban planners, and engineers, focusing on sustainable housing solutions that are resilient to disasters and climate change, as well as energy-efficient and carbon-reductive.
The workshop will delve into various aspects such as the housing issues in Pakistan, green technology in housing, resilient housing, and affordable housing strategies. It aims to equip professionals with knowledge and strategies to address Pakistan’s housing challenges, particularly in adapting to climate change.
The event charges a registration fee of Rs 500 for professionals, payable to the specified account at Habib Bank Limited, UET Branch, Lahore. However, faculty and students (postgraduate and final year) from various departments of UET, including Civil Engineering, City and Regional Planning, Architecture, Architecture Engineering and Design, and Product and Industrial Design, can participate free of cost.
Attendees, including professionals and students, will receive certificates, and the event includes additional perks like HI-Tea and lunch. Professionals are required to upload proof of payment, while UET students need to present their student cards for verification.
