Signing of MoU between The Dawood Foundation and Aga Khan University

Karachi, September 07, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Dawood Foundation (TDF), represented by its CEO Ms Sabrina Dawood, and The Aga Khan University (AKU), represented by Dr Anjum Halai, Vice Provost and Dean, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which sets out that the Centre for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME) at AKU will collaborate with TDF MagnifiScience Centre (MSC) as a ‘Knowledge Partner’. CIME is a state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary facility for the training of health professionals in Pakistan.

As a part of this agreement, TDF and CIME AKU will be working together to design and deliver quality content and programmes for MSC. The focus will be on facilitating exchange of relevant, cutting-edge academic research and materials through varied educational components at the science centre.

According to the terms of this partnership, both the organizations will develop content on certain topics and themes of MSC; conduct collaborative research projects; organize lectures, trainings, and professional development workshops; and create internship opportunities for AKU students at MSC. Professor Charles Docherty, Director, CIME, and Mr Fasihuddin Biyabani, Chief Operating Officer, TDF were also present on the occasion.
