Sahibzada Iftikhar Ahmad Abbasi Elected President of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan Sindh

Karachi: Jamiat Ulema Pakistan Sindh has announced new leadership positions following recent elections, with Sahibzada Iftikhar Ahmad Abbasi taking the role of President. The elections were part of a broader effort to reinforce the organization’s commitment to religious duties, including the upcoming Golden Jubilee celebrations of the end of Prophethood.

According to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, the election event was conducted under the supervision of Provincial Election Commission Nazim Ali Arain and Dr. Younis Danish, with Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, the head of the National Unity Council and President of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan, overseeing the proceedings. The elections resulted in Hafiz Muhammad Samun being appointed as Senior Vice President and Hafiz Muhammad Ashfaq Hussain Qadri as General Secretary.

The newly elected leaders will be pivotal in the planned grand celebrations on September 7, commemorating the Golden Jubilee of the end of Prophethood. The event is expected to draw leaders from various political and religious groups across the country, emphasizing national unity and religious devotion. The leadership expressed their commitment to uphold the principles of their manifesto, focusing on the sanctity of Prophethood.

Additionally, the assembly discussed broader social and political challenges, highlighting issues like law and order, educational disruptions, healthcare deficiencies, and public dissatisfaction with utility services. The leadership urged collective action to address these pressing issues, reflecting a commitment to both spiritual and civic responsibilities.
