Lahore, In a strategic move to bolster athlete welfare and sports development, the Secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab, Muzaffar Khan Sial, chaired a key meeting at Punjab Stadium to discuss the allocation of the Sports Endowment Fund. The gathering concluded with significant resolutions intended to expedite the disbursement of funds aimed at supporting provincial athletes.
According to Sports Board Punjab, Secretary Muzaffar Khan Sial emphasized the importance of a merit-based approach in the administration of the Sports Endowment Fund. His directive aimed to extend maximum assistance to the deserving athletes in Punjab, underscoring the fund as a pivotal initiative for the welfare and growth of sports. In line with this, he instructed prompt distribution of the fund among eligible players.
Director General of Sports Punjab, Pervez Iqbal, elaborated on the comprehensive preparations for the swift release of the funds and informed of a scheduled meeting with divisional sports officers to ensure efficient implementation. He assured that the financial aid from the Sports Endowment Fund would be extended to all qualified athletes across the province, highlighting the fund’s vital role in enhancing the well-being of the sporting community.
