Sargodha, October 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleem Mazhar participated in the Presidential Elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan held on October 24, 2021, at Tashkent, as an international observer invited by the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan.
On the side-lines of the elections, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleem Mazhar visited Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) and held a meeting with the Rector Prof. Dr. Gulchkhra Sh. Rikhsieva, faculty members and students studying the Urdu language on October 25, 2021.
The rector welcomed the Vice Chancellor and presented a souvenir to Prof. Dr. Saleem Mazhar. During the meeting, both counterparts agreed to develop academic and research linkages through joint ventures and exchange programs among researchers from the University of Punjab, University of Sargodha and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
While meeting with the students and faculty members of Urdu language, Prof. Dr. Saleem Mazhar emphasized the urgency to increase regional connectivity and extended his full cooperation in accelerating academic and research endeavours with the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
Prof. Dr, Saleem Mazhar and Prof. Dr. Gulchkhra Sh. Rikhsieva chalked out strategies, identified areas of cooperation and exchanged ideas for academic and research collaborations to facilitate researchers on the development of the Urdu language at TSUOS.
