President Zardari Honors Achievers with Civil Awards on Pakistan Day

Islamabad, On the occasion of Pakistan Day, President Asif Ali Zardari recognized the exceptional contributions of various Pakistanis and foreign nationals across multiple fields, conferring the nation’s highest civil awards during a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the investiture event celebrated the achievements and service of distinguished individuals in areas ranging from nuclear science and literature to public service and the arts. Among those honored were Muhammad Hafeez Qureshi (posthumously) for nuclear science, Iftikhar Hussain Arif for literature and poetry, and Islahuddin Siddiqui for his contributions to hockey. The ceremony also acknowledged significant figures in public service, education, and other fields, emphasizing the diverse areas in which recipients have excelled.

The awards included Nishan-e-Imitiaz, Hilal-e-Imitiaz, Sitara-e-Shujaat, and other prestigious recognitions, reflecting the recipients’ impactful contributions to Pakistan and beyond.
