Karachi, The Central President of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Women Wing, Faryal Talpur, presided over a crucial meeting today at Zardari House, Karachi, focusing on the Party’s upcoming grand Jalsa in Quetta and strategies for the general elections. The meeting, attended by prominent PPP leaders from Balochistan, discussed organizational matters and the Party’s direction in the province.
According to Pakistan People’s Party, the meeting was significant for its review of preparations for PPP’s 56th Foundation Day celebrations in Quetta. Leaders from Balochistan expressed their collective enthusiasm for the event, predicting it to be historic and unprecedented for the region. They emphasized that the Foundation Day celebrations in Quetta have ignited a new fervor among the people of Balochistan.
Faryal Talpur highlighted the PPP’s commitment to serving the people of Balochistan and protecting their rights. She expressed confidence in PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership, describing him as the focal point of hope for the people of Balochistan. Talpur asserted that the PPP would emerge as the dominant party in the province in the upcoming general elections, citing past instances where she believes the Party’s mandate was unfairly undermined.
Talpur recalled key achievements during President Asif Ali Zardari’s tenure, such as the implementation of Aghaz-e-Huqooq Balochistan, the 18th amendment, and the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, which she claimed significantly empowered the provinces with greater autonomy and control over resources.
Looking ahead to the general elections, Talpur expressed optimism about PPP’s prospects, anticipating that the people of Balochistan will safeguard their mandate. She envisaged that after the elections, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would become the Prime Minister of Pakistan, with a PPP member serving as the Chief Minister of Balochistan. Talpur highlighted the PPP leadership’s commitment to generating employment opportunities for the youth of Balochistan and fulfilling its promises.
The meeting was attended by prominent PPP figures including Mir Chingiz Jamali, Rozi Khan Kakar, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, General (Rtd) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Sarbuland Khan Jogizai, and others, all of whom shared insights on political and organizational strategies for Balochistan.
