PCB Reveals Match Officials for Upcoming Women’s Cricket Series

Lahore, 17 Oct 2023:The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released the list of match officials for the impending bilateral series featuring Pakistan A and West Indies A women’s teams, as well as two T20 matches pitting Pakistan A against Thailand women’s emerging team. Match officials have also been announced for the tri-series T20 tournament involving Pakistan A, West Indies A, and Thailand emerging teams. The series and tournament are slated to unfold across two venues from 24 October to 11 November.

Umpires Rashid Riaz and Faisal Afridi from the ICC/PCB International Panel of Umpires, alongside Muhammad Javed Malik from the International Panel of ICC/PCB Match Referees, are set to oversee the series. For on-field umpiring roles, Faisal Afridi, Muhammad Asif, Waleed Yaqub, Shozab Raza, Nasir Hussain, Abdul Moqeet, and Rashid Riaz have been enlisted. Meanwhile, Saleema Imtiaz, Sabahat Rashid, Humairah Farah, and Afia Amin from the PCB women’s umpire panel will act as reserve umpires.

Nadeem Arshad, Muhammad Javed Malik, and Kamran Chaudhry will take on the duties of match referees.

The cricketing action will kick off with three one-day games against West Indies Women A, followed by a tri-nation T20 series that features Pakistan Women A, West Indies Women A, and Thailand women’s emerging squad. This will be topped off with a T20 series against the Thailand women’s emerging team.

Starting times for the three one-day games are fixed at 0900 PKT, with the toss scheduled for 0830 PKT. Both the tri-nation T20 series and the T20 series against Thailand will begin at 1000 PKT, with the coin flip set for 0930 PKT. Pakistan Cricket Board provided this information.
