Lahore, In a strategic move to enhance cricket stadiums in Pakistan, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi convened with officials from the National Engineering Services of Pakistan (NESPAK) to discuss the upgradation of three key venues. The meeting, which also saw the participation of COO PCB Salman Naseer, Director Infrastructure PCB Nasir Hameed, and GM NESPAK, focused on the preliminary designs for the immediate enhancement of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, National Bank Stadium in Karachi, and Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the presentation of initial designs marked a significant step towards improving the cricket viewing experience in Pakistan. The Chairman emphasized the importance of enhancing the view from every seat in the stadium and renovating the hospitality boxes at all three venues. This initiative is part of the PCB’s commitment to elevate the standard of facilities for fans and players alike.
With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on the horizon, Chairman Naqvi instructed NESPAK officials to commence the work on stadiums immediately, highlighting the urgency due to the tight timeline leading up to the tournament.
