Faisalabad, Pakistan, In a move aimed at supporting talented and financially challenged students, National Textile University (NTU) announced the launch of the Iqbal Begum and Bashir Begum Need-Based Scholarship Program for undergraduates. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on January 10, 2024, marking a significant step towards providing fully funded tuition for deserving students in the School of Engineering and Technology.
According to National Textile University, the MoU was signed by Mr. Umar Shaukat, an alumnus of NTU and representative of the Iqbal Begum and Bashir Begum Need-Based Scholarship, and Dr. Danish Mahmood, Advisor Student at NTU. The ceremony also saw Dr. Muzzamal Hussain, Assistant Professor at NTU, who played a crucial role in the establishment of this scholarship program, expressing his support and concern for the educational advancement of students.
The scholarship scheme is designed to cover the full tuition fees for selected students enrolled in undergraduate programs within the School of Engineering and Technology. This initiative not only aims to alleviate the financial burden on students but also to encourage academic excellence and provide equal opportunities for education to all segments of society.
The establishment of the Iqbal Begum and Bashir Begum Need-Based Scholarship Program reflects NTU’s commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment that supports the growth and development of its students, irrespective of their financial backgrounds.
