Lahore, April 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):In pursuance of the directions of Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan, President POA, in accordance with the authority delegated to the office of the President Pakistan Olympic Association, a Probe Committee is hereby constituted, in context to the seven positive dope cases of Kabaddi Players tested during the National Kabaddi Championship 2022 Lahore, of following individuals:
a. Mr. Muhammad Shafiq – Convener
President, Pakistan Handball Federation
Secretary General, Asian Handball Federation
b. Mr. Javaid Shamshad Lodhi – Member
Executive Vice President, National Rifle Association of Pakistan
Vice President, Asian Shooting Confederation
c. Dr. Asad Abbas – Member
Secretary Medical Commission POA
d. Dr. Lubna Sibtain – Member
Member, POA Medical Commission
e. Maj (R) Majid Waseem – Secretary
Chairman / CEO, Pakistan Swimming Federation
Bureau Member AASF and Member FINA Masters Committee
The terms of reference of the Committee shall be as under:
a. To ascertain effectiveness of internal doping controls established by PKF.
b. To ascertain why internal doping controls of PKF were breached.
c. To ascertain the exact number of doping tests held by PKF in last three years.
d. To fix responsibility upon the person(s) involved, if any except athletes (suspend by the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation).
e. To recommend measures for future course.
The Committee is advised to finalize its findings within 40 x days for which all the relevant stakeholders should cooperate and provide information, documents and personal appearance as the case may be.
