Nearly Half of Pakistanis Aware of Marital Disputes in Past 6 Months, Survey Reveals

Islamabad, A recent survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan sheds light on the awareness of marital disputes in the country. According to the findings, 48% of Pakistanis stated that they had either witnessed or heard about a husband and wife quarrelling in the last six months. Interestingly, an equal percentage (48%) reported that they were unaware of such incidents, leaving 4% who chose not to respond or said they did not know.

The survey posed a clear question to a nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across Pakistan: “Please tell me to what extent you agree or disagree with the following statements? – In the past 6 months, I have witnessed or heard about a husband and wife fighting.” The equal distribution of awareness and unawareness raises intriguing questions about the visibility and acknowledgment of marital disputes within the society.
