Lahore Students Rally for Solidarity with Palestinians and Kashmiris at GCU Seminar


Lahore, Government College University Lahore hosted a seminar that became a platform for students from various educational institutions to express solidarity with the Palestinians and Kashmiris. The event, marked by passionate cultural displays and poignant speeches, demonstrated the youth’s commitment to advocating for these communities facing adversity.



According to Government College University, the seminar organized by the Ex-Servicemen Society in partnership with GCU’s Kashmir and Palestine societies, brought together students from eleven universities including Punjab University and the University of Engineering and Technology. They engaged in mili nagmas (patriotic songs), speeches, and dramatic performances to draw attention to the plight of Palestinians and Kashmiris.



Distinguished guests such as Senator Lieutenant General (r) Abdul Qayyum and GCU Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Sultan Shah provided insights on the importance of unity and awareness in tackling the challenges faced by oppressed Muslim populations. ASP Syeda ShehrBano Naqvi underscored the influential role universities play in elevating this discourse internationally. The event also featured creative expressions of support, including poetry by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Gujarat, Prof. Dr. Mushahid Anwar, underscoring the collective call for action and support.
