Karachi Commemorates Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s Legacy on Her 95th Birth Anniversary

Karachi, The People’s Party District East, Karachi Division, paid tribute to Madam Rajmahurit Begum Nusrat Bhutto, celebrating her 95th birth anniversary as a towering symbol of resistance and an emblematic figure in the struggle for democracy in Pakistan.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Deputy Secretary of Information Convener for the Karachi Division, Sharqi Asif Khan, highlighted Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s indomitable spirit during a Taraweeh prayer gathering, recognizing her vital role in confronting the oppressive regime of General Zia. Her resilience and unwavering commitment to democracy and human rights were lauded as a “bright chapter in history,” particularly her proactive stance in movements for democratic restoration, women’s rights, and the welfare of party workers.

Asif Khan, addressing the attendees in Golestan Johar, commemorated Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s courageous battle against tyranny, her strategic political acumen, and her inspirational message of defiance.
