Israeli Military Actions Intensify Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza, Calls for International Intervention

Islamabad, The situation in Gaza has escalated into a humanitarian crisis, with continuous actions by the Israeli military, including the closure of key border corridors and attacks on civilian infrastructure, drawing severe criticism from international observers and local leaders.

According to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair, President of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan and National Unity Council, strongly condemned the closure of the Rafah and Karam Shalom border crossings. He highlighted the Israeli army’s occupation of schools and hospitals in the East Rafah area, describing these acts as war crimes contributing to a severe humanitarian tragedy in Palestine. Dr. Zubair criticized the inaction of Muslim leaders and international bodies in responding to the plight of Palestinians, questioning the oversight of the United Nations and human rights organizations amidst ongoing violations.

The statement emphasized the dire need for urgent intervention by the international community to halt Israeli aggression and provide immediate relief to the affected Palestinian civilians. The call for action aims to prevent further loss of life and address the acute shortages of medical supplies and basic necessities resulting from the blockade.
