Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Aitaddal Foundation Join Hands for Cultural and Educational Projects

Bahawalpur, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Aitaddal Foundation District Lodhran to collaborate on two significant projects: the Arabic translation of “Khutbat e Bahawalpur” and the organization of training workshops for Imams and Khutba. The MoU signing ceremony took place at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat at Baghdad ul-Jadeed Campus.

According to Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of the University, and Muhammad Zohaib, representative of Aitaddal Foundation, inked the agreement. Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the projects’ background and significance. He emphasized that “Khutbat e Bahawalpur” by Dr. Hameedullah is a distinguished work on Seerat Tayyaba with historical significance, meriting translation for wider dissemination in the Arab world.

The ceremony also highlighted the importance of training workshops for imams and preachers, addressing the increasing political and religious tensions within society. Muhammad Zohaib from Aitaddal Foundation expressed his contentment with the collaboration and recognized the vital role the foundation plays in education, health, and clean water provision.

Prof. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, commended both projects and Aitaddal Foundation’s support, recognizing the initiatives’ significance. Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, also praised the projects as timely and of extraordinary importance.

The collaboration between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Aitaddal Foundation marks a significant step in cultural and educational advancement, aiming to extend the reach of notable Islamic literature and enhance the quality of religious discourse in society.
