Bahawalpur, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur held seminars at its Faculty of Computing and Faculty of Engineering, focusing on raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. The sessions aimed to delve deep into the harmful effects of drug consumption on an individual’s mental and physical well-being.
According to a news release by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, these seminars are a part of a series arranged by a dedicated committee established to inform and caution against the detrimental effects of drugs. During the sessions, Dr. Muhammad Usman Cheema, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Maleeha Arif, Principal Medical Officer, and Dr. Sana provided comprehensive insights into drug usage and its repercussions on health. Other eminent speakers, including Dr. Engineer Muhammad Ali Qureshi, Dr. Najia Sahar, and Fatima Mazahir, Deputy Registrar Public Affairs, also contributed to the discourse. The events witnessed a robust participation from faculty members and the student body.
