Hyderabad, The Iranian President’s visit to Pakistan has yielded better results than expected, with potential for significant economic benefits, President of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan and National Solidarity Council. The visit was marked by reception ceremonies in Islamabad and CM House Karachi in honor of Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi.
According to Jamiat Ulema Islam, Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, speaking to journalists on his return to Hyderabad, expressed optimism about the outcomes of the Iranian President’s visit to Pakistan. He said it would likely lead to an increase in the loving relations between the two countries and provide enormous benefits through the implementation of agreements. Zubair noted that these agreements could help alleviate the current economic crisis and potentially reduce inflation.
Zubair condemned threats made by certain groups seeking to undermine these agreements and cited a past instance where non-compliance with the gas supply plan had harmed the country. He urged for decisions to be made in Pakistan’s best interest, emphasizing that the governments of Sindh and Punjab welcomed the Iranian President warmly during his visit.
Zubair suggested that alongside previous gas agreements, additional electricity agreements could bring stability to Pakistan’s economy, offering relief from inflation and promoting economic growth. He added that reliance on international loans might not be the best approach to achieving economic stability, instead advocating for adherence to the agreements made during this visit.
