Bahawalpur, January 10, 2023 (PPI-OT):Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Islamia University Bahawalpur Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti has said that Jamia Islamia has made significant progress in social sciences under the vision and guidance of Vice Chancellor Engineer Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob in the last three years.
Three social sciences journals of Islamia University Bahawalpur are approved by Higher Education Commission. In the recent ranking of Times Higher Education, Islamia University Bahawalpur also performed prominently in social sciences along with other sciences and was included in the 900 universities of the world.
Currently, admissions are open in 19 programs of the Faculty of Social Sciences, including BS Applied Psychology, Advanced Diploma in Counselling Psychology, Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology, BS Economics, BS Business Economics, BS Economics and Finance, BS Development.
Studies, BS International Relations, BS Defense and Diplomatic Studies, BS Information Management, BS These include Mass Communication, BS Politics, BS Politics and Parliamentary Studies, BS Gender Studies, BS Public Policy and Governance, BS Public Administration, BS Social Work, BS Sociology and BS Anthropology.
Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti said that social sciences especially psychology, economics, information management, mass communication, social work, sociology and anthropology have wide job opportunities in public and private sectors. He asked the male and female students to take admission in social studies of social sciences because the scope of social science is very wide.
