In response to Imran Khan’s arrest, the PTI did not call for peaceful protests and political gatherings, choosing to act as a terrorist organization rather than a political party. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Karachi, May 15, 2023 (PPI-OT): Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, while addressing a joint session of Parliament on Monday said that the violent incidents of May 9, including the attack on GHQ and Jinnah House, had never happened before. And these attacks are highly condemnable. Government property as well as Kanji property was destroyed and burnt across the country. It was a heinous act. History will always be remembered when Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was martyred, a party worker from Lahore set himself on fire while protesting. State property was not damaged. When martyr Ms. Benazir Bhutto came to Lahore after her exile in 1986, the killer of the leader of the people was alive and in the President’s House. 3 million people came to welcome their leader and no political party could organize such a large political gathering again in the history of the country.

If martyr Ms. Benazir Bhutto martyred the people, the leader of the people, the murderer of Shahnawaz Bhutto’s murderer and the mother of democracy, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, had been pointed out to the perpetrators, the result would have been in front of everyone and nothing would have been saved. Chairman Bilawal said that for the sake of the country and democracy, I have supported the funeral of Ms. Benazir Bhutto. In response to the slogan raised on that day, President Zardari saved Pakistan by chanting “Pakistan Khape”. “Democracy is the best revenge” I chanted after burying my mother. Even at that time, we could have reached the people of Pervez Musharraf, the murderer of our mother. If President Zardari had not raised the slogan of unity, we would have taken revenge, would Pakistan have been saved? Would we have sat in this assembly today? A man who never tired of praising the NAB during his tenure, and torturing his political opponents, arrested Nawaz Sharif and his daughter, along with the then leader of the opposition, who was suffering from cancer.

He was happy to do it. In Khan’s tactics This included blackmailing the Chairman NAB, and televising clips of a woman being held hostage by Imran Khan in the Prime Minister’s House to threaten him. They wanted to force the Chairman NAB to arrest President Zardari and Faryal Talpur, Faryal Talpur was admitted to a hospital in Islamabad. A day before Eid, which fell around the August 2019 date on which India invaded Kashmir, I was on my way to Muzaffarabad to offer Eid prayers in solidarity with my Kashmiri brothers. I was told that Imran Khan changed the MS of the hospital a day before Eid, appointed someone else and arrested Faryal Talpur and sent him to jail. These were the small tactics of this person. President Zardari warned them of the consequences of their actions. Imran Khan was warned by the opposition and those in his own cabinet, especially when Imran Khan was plotting against the women of his opponents’ families. The then interior minister had warned Imran Khan in the cabinet meeting that he too would be in the opposition one day.

Today, Imran Khan is criticizing the same NAB that he was so fond of. If anyone from our side had been involved in this matter, we would have been thrown behind bars without a second thought. They say that the former first lady was a trustee and therefore innocent. Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Faryal Talpur were both trustees. Today, Imran Khan is benefiting from the same NAB amendments that we brought when we were in opposition, at that time Imran Khan used to say that we are asking for NRO. When he was in power, he would have distanced himself from NAB by claiming that it was an independent body. Sharjeel Memon was arrested from the court premises during the reign of Imran Khan, the speaker of the Sindh Assembly was arrested by raiding his house. Imran Khan’s in response to the arrest, the PTI did not call for peaceful protests and political gatherings.

He decided to choose a violent response instead. It chose to act as a terrorist organization rather than a political party. When Rana Sanaullah was accused of possessing several kilograms of heroin, Justice Bandyal should have opened his court at midnight and demanded that Sanaullah be produced in court in the same manner. The response to Imran Khan spending barely a night in jail was violence. They took up arms against the state. This is the time when the state needs a united response. It is unfortunate that from the Islamabad High Court to the Supreme Court, where solidarity with Imran Khan was expressed, there was no sign of solidarity with Jinnah House or GHQ in Lahore. The court should have condemned the militant organization and terrorism instead of welcoming the criminal with a “good to see you”. It Imran Khan should have been given an opportunity to choose either a terrorist organization or a political party. The resulting decision should have been based on his answer. It has become their habit to attack every institution. It is the only political party that has attacked every institution starting with Parliament in 2014. It is on record that the ISI was used to manipulate allies.

Self-notice was demanded on this. General Faiz and Imran Khan should have been called to court and questioned. They only think about democracy when we restore it. If they were so adamant about taking notice of themselves, they should have done so in the manner in which the country was run for four years, with the media restricted and the rights of the provinces usurped. When we moved a no-confidence motion, it violated the constitution. Neither we as the government nor the courts have taken any action for this violation. As for Punjab When it comes to relationships, decisions are made overnight. We roamed the corridors of the court for a month to exercise our right of antitrust. At that time, Imran Khan’s facilitators in various institutions were also looking to dissolve the assembly so that elections could be held. Despite their failure on the Night of Distrust, the conspiracy continued. While we were looking for ways to support the country’s economy on May 25, they were trying to sabotage our agreement with the IMF.

The courts did nothing as the city of Islamabad was set on fire on May 25 as the conspiracy continued. Then they overthrew the Punjab government through an unconstitutional decision and hoped to force elections. According to our principles, we are not against elections. We can fight them not with NAB but through elections. We have beaten him many times, and we can do it now. However, we are not ready to be part of any conspiracy. Who owns They are running a one-man show in the institutions and they wish to run a one-man show in the country as a whole. The party that has fought dictators Zia and Musharraf and their elected rulers will foil this conspiracy and save the country’s democracy. The problem of the country is not whether Imran Khan used the washroom or not but it is that the nation is going through difficult economic times. The nation does not care about who sits on the prime minister’s chair but who helps them solve their problems. PTI has the last chance to decide whether it wants to become a political party or not.

We are asked why the elections were not held. They should answer this question themselves. It is not our institution but our neighbor (Supreme Court) that is responsible for political instability. What if we don’t have instability when they rewrite our constitution and laws as per their wish? Attack on Jinnah House and GHQ Instead of condemning the perpetrators and taking action against them, history will remember that our Chief Justice reacted by saying ‘Good to see’ after seeing Imran Khan. It is ultimately our responsibility to steer the system and democracy in the right direction. For the betterment of the country, all institutions should work within their constitutional scope. The court has done what it had to do. Many cases are pending. If nothing else, the Chief Justice can at least salvage his legacy by completing the pending cases.

If he interferes in politics and continues to give relief to Imran Khan, which he has been doing since he became a judge and facilitated Khan in the BRT project, among other cases, including election rigging, and if they keep doing this, the system will not work. Chairman Bilawal reiterated the concept of ‘Pakistan Khape’, and to overcome the crises faced by the country and its people.
