Lahore, January 27, 2023 (PPI-OT):Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan meets former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi here today (Friday). Former Ministers Raja Basharat, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, former members of Provincial Assembly Major (retd) Asghar Hayat Kaliar, Javed Iqbal Khan Khachi, Sohail Afzal Gondal, Chaudhry Arif Gondal and Chaudhry Liaquat Gondal were also present in the meeting. The meeting discussed political matters, the conduct of the caretaker government of Punjab and strongly condemned the retaliatory cases and arrests in Punjab.
Ch Pervez Elahi said that after the election schedule, the caretaker government should refrain from unconstitutional and illegal actions, if the caretaker government of Punjab wants to reform itself, it should stay away from Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, registering cases of rebellion and terrorism cases against opponents has been a singular distinction of Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government should limit itself to the constitutional role for free and fair elections.
Ch Pervez Elahi advised the Punjab government to avoid watching the Mullah Jutt movie or becoming Mullah Jutt itself, the caretaker Govt should earn a good name during its two and a half months tenure, the people are not happy with the misdeeds of the caretaker government. They will not get anything except shame, actions like harassing people or making cases should not be taken, if the elected government of Tehreek-e-Insaf comes after the election, they will not get a chance to run away.
