Bahawalpur, July 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has congratulated Iqra Fatima, a student from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, on her success in winning the 6th Huawei ICT Competition 2021-22 in China. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that if there is true dedication, every success can be achieved. He said that Iqra Fatima, a student belonging to Islamia University Bahawalpur, has made the name of not only the university but also her parents and the region bright.
Iqra Fatima is studying in the Department of Telecommunication Engineering, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and she won this competition along with two students from Jamshoro Sindh. This year 12 thousand youth participated in the competition. The winning team got 20 thousand dollars and mobile phones. It is worth mentioning that the Huawei ICT Competition is held every year in the city of Shenzhen, China, and young people from all over the world participate in this competition.
In total, 150,000 young people from all over the world participated in the competition, belonging to 85 countries from two thousand different universities from different countries. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil, Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad, Chairman Ali Telecommunication Engineering Department Dr. Muhammad Ali Qureshi, Director Students Affairs Rizwan Majeed have congratulated on this success.
