Multan: The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the Women University Multan (WUM) organized a Free Nutrition Assessment Camp in the university’s main hall, providing an opportunity for practical training and professional development for its Human Nutrition students, particularly those in the MPhil program.
The event aimed to integrate academic learning with real-world practice by involving students in health assessments. MPhil students conducted comprehensive evaluations of the nutritional status of both students and faculty members. Their assessments included collecting data on body measurements, dietary history, and lifestyle factors to better understand the participants’ nutritional needs.
A notable collaboration came from Nutrifactor, which partnered in the event to conduct Nutrition-Focused Physical Examinations (NFPE), emphasizing hair and skin health. Nutrifactor also offered screenings for essential health parameters, such as blood pressure and blood glucose levels, contributing to attendees’ health awareness and preventive care.
The department expressed gratitude to Nutrifactor for their collaboration and to all faculty and students who participated in the camp. The event not only enhanced student learning but also promoted a culture of health and wellness on campus.
