First Lady Attends 5th Passing Out Parade at Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls

Shaheed Benazirabad: First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, attended the 5th Passing Out Parade and Annual Parents’ Day at Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls as the chief guest.

During the event, she inaugurated the college’s new gymnasium and swimming pool, participated in a tree plantation ceremony, and opened the “Art and Science Exhibition 2025-26.” She also reviewed the guard of honour and addressed the cadets and parents.

In her speech, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari emphasized the college’s role as Pakistan’s first girls’ cadet college, focusing on empowering young women through education and leadership training. She commended the dedication of the cadets, the faculty’s support, and the efforts of the Sindh Government in transforming BCCG into an institution producing capable leaders.

Reflecting on the legacy of women leaders like Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, she stressed the importance of girls’ education for Pakistan’s future. She encouraged cadets to embody discipline, respect, and resilience in their pursuits and to uphold their family’s and country’s honour.

The First Lady presented crests and prizes to cadets and witnessed various displays, including march pasts and a karate show. The college, established in 2017 and managed by the Pakistan Air Force, enrolls 423 cadets and offers modern facilities, contributing to its cadets’ achievements in academics and sports.

In the college visitors’ book, Bibi Aseefa expressed appreciation for President Asif Ali Zardari’s vision in establishing the institute and wished the cadets success in serving Pakistan. Her participation highlighted the commitment to empowering young women and the significance of education and leadership in shaping the nation’s future.
