Federal Health Minister Lauds Indus Hospital’s Exemplary Healthcare Model

Karachi: Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal visited The Indus Hospital in Karachi, praising its welfare-based healthcare model as a leading example for Pakistan.

During his visit, Minister Kamal was received by Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, the President of Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN), and Syed Mashhood Rizvi, Executive Director of the Communication and Resource Development Directorate at IHHN. The minister was given a comprehensive tour of the newly expanded hospital facilities, highlighting the Network’s commitment to providing free-of-cost healthcare across the nation.

The tour included visits to critical sections such as the Pediatric Oncology Ward, Emergency Department, Family Medicine Clinics, Surgical ICUs, Adult Wards, Consultant Clinics, and Blood Center. Minister Kamal expressed satisfaction with the quality of medical care and the modern infrastructure available to patients.

The minister commended the Indus Hospital model, which provides world-class treatment without charge, emphasizing its non-discriminatory approach and lack of VIP protocols. He acknowledged Dr. Abdul Bari Khan’s leadership and vision in enhancing healthcare services in Pakistan.

“Indus Hospital is a shining example of a welfare-based healthcare system in Pakistan,” Minister Kamal stated. He noted that improving healthcare quality is a government priority and that initiatives like Indus could significantly impact public health.

Minister Kamal also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting innovative health models that expand access to quality care, praising IHHN’s efforts in this regard.
