Lahore, In a strong critique against the current government’s economic strategies, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) senior leader Musarat Jamshed Cheema expressed concerns over the unsustainable reliance on loans for economic development. Cheema emphasized the urgent need for legal and constitutional governance to address the proliferating challenges facing the nation and questioned the government’s authority to enact crucial reforms.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema underscored PTI’s dedication to a democratic movement advocating for justice and rule of law. He criticized the government’s acquiescence to the harsh terms set by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for loan acquisition, warning that economic strength cannot be built on indebtedness. Instead, Cheema advocated for creating an environment conducive to business and steadfast adherence to legal principles, consistent with PTI’s long-held views on national progress and stability.
