Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq Honored with Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in Lahore

Lahore, In a notable recognition of his contributions to education and peace-building, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq, Director General of the Islamic Research Institute (IRI) at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), was awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz by Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the prestigious national award was bestowed upon Dr. Zia ul Haq in acknowledgment of his dedicated service in the educational sector and his pivotal role in propagating the “Paigham e Pakistan” peace initiative. A renowned professor of law, Dr. Zia ul Haq’s accolades include the HEC best teacher award and several international honors, underscoring his commitment to fostering peace and tolerance.

The investiture ceremony in Lahore was attended by an array of distinguished guests, including provincial assembly members and senior government officials. IIUI’s leadership, including Rector Dr. Samina Malik and President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, praised Dr. Zia ul Haq’s enduring contributions to the university and the broader community, highlighting his exemplary status within the institution and encouraging others within IIUI to emulate his dedication and achievements.
