Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Unveils PPP’s 10-Point Election Manifesto at Benazir Bhutto’s 16th Martyrdom Anniversary

Karachi, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has presented a 10-point election manifesto, outlining key priorities aimed at addressing Pakistan’s major challenges including inflation, unemployment, and poverty. The manifesto, revealed on the eve of the 16th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bux, emphasizes the PPP’s readiness for the upcoming elections and its commitment to bringing change in the country.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressing the historic public gathering on Wednesday, paid tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and emphasized the PPP’s resilience and determination to contest and win the elections. He reflected on the PPP’s achievements over the past 16 years, including the restoration of the constitution, provincial autonomy through the NFC award, the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), and the removal of the former dictator from power.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed confidence in the PPP’s ability to confront current national challenges and stressed the need for the party’s leadership in resolving these issues. He differentiated the PPP from its political rivals, highlighting its federal representation across all provinces and its commitment to fair election practices.

In his speech, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticized the former coalition government, stating that the PPP’s former allies showed little interest in solving public problems or addressing economic challenges and terrorism. This led to the PPP’s decision to part ways and focus on its own path and ideology.

The PPP Chairman then presented the party’s 10 top priorities in the election manifesto for the February 8 polls. These include doubling salaries over the next five years, establishing green energy parks, providing free electricity to poor families, ensuring quality education, offering free world-class health facilities, and launching the ‘Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar Program’ to provide housing for homeless families. Additionally, the manifesto promises the expansion of the BISP and the introduction of the Kisan Card, Benazir Mazdoor Card, and Youth Card to support farmers, workers, and unemployed youth. The party also plans to establish youth centers offering various facilities and to fight inflation through the ‘Bhook Mittaao Program’.

Addressing the people of Central Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, South Punjab, Karachi, and Lahore, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized the PPP’s commitment to the rights of the people and announced his decision to contest the election from Lahore, challenging the political status quo in the region.

The gathering responded enthusiastically to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s speech, echoing with slogans of support for his leadership in the upcoming elections.
