Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Celebrates National Day of Minorities with Message of Unity and Respect

KARACHI: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, extended his profound respect and warmest congratulations to the minority communities of Pakistan on the eve of the National Day of Minorities, observed on August 11. Emphasizing the importance of diversity, Bhutto Zardari highlighted that the rights and safety of minorities are fundamental to the country’s democratic vision.

In a press release from the Media Cell Bilawal House, Bhutto Zardari conveyed that the National Day of Minorities is a reaffirmation of the promise made by Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, ensuring equal rights and security for people of all faiths.

He recognized the significant contributions of minority citizens in various sectors, including the armed forces, education, healthcare, and public service. Bhutto Zardari noted their role in the nation’s progress and democracy.

The PPP leader reiterated his party’s commitment to an inclusive Pakistan, where justice and equality prevail. He praised past efforts by party leaders, including Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, in championing minority rights.

Bhutto Zardari also acknowledged former President Asif Ali Zardari’s declaration of August 11 as the National Day of Minorities, a move to honor the role of minorities in Pakistan’s nationhood.

He called on the nation to reject intolerance and discrimination, urging a collective embrace of coexistence and compassion. Bhutto Zardari encouraged a renewed commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of all citizens, fostering unity in the country.
