Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Calls for Unity Against Extremism at Ayaz Melo in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called upon writers and intellectuals in Pakistan to unite against the politics of extremism, hatred, and division. Speaking at the inauguration of the Ayaz Melo in Hyderabad, a cultural event organized to honor the late Sindhi poet Shaikh Ayaz, Zardari emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to address the challenges facing Pakistan.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, Zardari while addressing the gathering, stressed the need to end the politics of extremism and division in the country. He highlighted that the PPP has demonstrated its ability to foster unity and inclusivity. He urged intellectuals and the youth to support his efforts to guide the country towards a positive direction.

Zardari also spoke about the grave threats posed by climate change, particularly the risks associated with the melting of the Himalayan glaciers. He stressed the need for a revised development vision in light of climate change and called for the support of writers and intellectuals in spreading awareness and formulating effective strategies.

Emphasizing the importance of embracing Pakistan’s diverse history and cultures, Zardari expressed his vision for a Pakistan where every child is aware of their rich heritage, including the historical significance of Mohen Jo Daro.

Highlighting initiatives for the youth, Zardari mentioned the introduction of the Youth Card and Youth Centers, aimed at providing financial support, vocational training, library, and sports facilities to young people across the country.

During his address, Zardari paid homage to Shaikh Ayaz for his literary contributions and commended the organizers of the Ayaz Melo. The event was also attended by former Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, former education minister Sardar Shah, and other PPP leaders.

Zardari’s address at the Ayaz Melo underscores the PPP’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive, tolerant, and progressive society in Pakistan.
