Lahore, February 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Asad Qaiser, Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan visited UMT and met Ibrahim Hasan Murad, President UMT to discuss higher education reforms in Pakistan. President UMT gave him a brief introduction of the university and Asad Qaisar discussed plans of doing a grand venture together.
Dr. Asif Raza, Rector UMT in his address said it was an immense pleasure to welcome Asad Qaiser and other parliamentary members at UMT. He gave a brief description of UMT and expressed that it is one of the leading universities of Pakistan. He said that the faculty of UMT has set high standards to create credible participants in every field. UMT is working to further enhance its capacity to accommodate the government in the provision of higher education in the country, he added.
Asad Qaiser, Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan said in his address that it is an honour for me to talk to the leaders of the society and a pleasure to visit an educational institute like UMT. Speaking to the faculty he said that you are the people due to which our country is enlightened with knowledge. He expressed that I have been the provincial president of my party for nine years and I owe my success to the support and dedication of my teachers.
Asad Qaiser applauded the role of Khurram Murad in the formation of this prestigious institution and said that he himself formed an educational institution from being inspired by the founder of UMT. He appreciated the administration of UMT working in such a professional way. He expressed that it is only because of a teacher’s hard work, persistence, commitment, and passion for education that can transform the future generation into leaders of the nation.
He highlighted that bringing transformation in society and achieving goals is only possible when you come out of your comfort zone. Teachers are the pillars of our society, a treasure of our nation, and can give to the society what no politician can, he added. In his concluding remarks, he said that it is only commitment, dedication, and devotion that can make you a trademark of education. Students and teachers should compete with the international universities, he advised, as it is a pity that universities of our country have not made it to the world rankings. President UMT Ibrahim Hasan Murad also presented souvenirs to Mr. Asad Qaiser and other parliamentary members.
