This release aims to meet the high demand after a successful ticket ballot that saw over three million applications.
According to International Cricket Council, the sale on Tuesday will include tickets for 51 out of the 55 tournament fixtures, including matches where tickets were previously sold out. The move is part of an effort to ensure that more cricket enthusiasts can enjoy the games live, reflecting the event’s popularity. Fans are encouraged to register on the official ticketing platform to purchase tickets and explore hospitality options.
The ticket release will cover games at iconic venues such as Brian Lara Cricket Academy and Guyana National Stadium, among others. Notably, public tickets for highly anticipated matches, including USA vs. Canada and India vs. Pakistan, remain unavailable. The ICC also announced the launch of its hospitality program, offering premium experiences at various match locations.
Chris Tetley, ICC Head of Events, expressed satisfaction with the initiative to accommodate more fans, highlighting the global excitement for the tournament. Fawwaz Baksh, the tournament director, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to responding to fan demand. Brett Jones, CEO of T20 World Cup Inc, also noted the eagerness of fans to secure their places at the event and advised quick action due to the expected high demand.
