Karachi: Nasir Iqbal of Pakistan has advanced to the final of the PN Fleet Club Squash Open 2026, a Copper Level Tournament with a prize money of USD 41,000, held from July 31st to August 4th in Karachi. Iqbal secured his place in the final after defeating Yassin Elshafei of Egypt in the semi-final with a 3-0 victory.
According to Pakistan Squash Federation, the tournament saw participation from six Pakistani players, including Noor Zaman and Muhammad Hamza Khan, who reached the quarter-finals. Saeed Abdul and Anas Khan were eliminated in the first round. In another semi-final, Salman Khalil from Egypt defeated Pakistan's Muhammad Asim Khan with a score of 3-1.
The event highlighted the competitive spirit of Pakistani squash players, and Nasir Iqbal’s performance has garnered support from the nation as he prepares for the final challenge.
