UET Lahore’s Self-RIPE Initiative Underway with Comprehensive Evaluations

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore is hosting the Self-RIPE 2024 activity, orchestrated by its Quality Enhancement Cell. This initiative is part of UET’s efforts to maintain academic standards, institutional effectiveness, and continuous quality improvement.

The Self-IPR Review Team is conducting thorough evaluations of UET’s performance. The process includes document reviews, stakeholder meetings, and facility visits. Over two days, the team will meet with statutory officers, faculty members, students, and department heads. Their visits will extend to classrooms, labs, libraries, cafeterias, and student support facilities.

Today, the review team engaged in a detailed session with Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore and Chairman of the Punjab Higher Education Commission. During the session, the team shared their initial observations and gained insights from the Vice Chancellor.

The Self-IPR Review Team includes Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz, Director of QEC at UET Lahore, serving as the convener. External members are Prof. Dr. Farzana Shahid, Registrar at Beaconhouse National University, and Dr. Dawar Hameed Mughal, Director of QEC at UVAS Lahore. Members from UET Lahore are Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser Saleem, Prof. Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Zaheer Aslam, and Dr. Izza Anwar.

The initiative is coordinated by Engr. Dr. Mureed Abbas, Deputy Director of QEC at UET Lahore.
