Islamabad: The Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation concluded its inaugural National PSB Bodybuilding and Physique Championship 2025 with the selection of eight athletes to compete in the upcoming Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship in Thailand. The event, held at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad, drew participation from 122 athletes across 23 categories.
The championship showcased contests in various divisions, including Senior, Junior, Masters, Athletic Physique, and Sports Physique. A panel comprising judges from the World Bodybuilding Federation, the Asian Bodybuilding Federation, and provincial associations evaluated the performances.
The athletes chosen to represent Pakistan in the Asian championship are Ejaz Ahmed, Firasat Ali, Mohsin Iqbal, Muhammad Shakeel, Bilal Ahmed, Usama Saeed, Haroon Rasheed, and Faizan Gul. The 57th edition of the Asian Championship is set to take place later this year in Thailand.
Sohail Anwar, Secretary General of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation, served as the event’s chief guest. Other notable attendees included Saeed Akhtar, Chairman of the PSB Organizing Committee, along with committee members Nasrullah Rana, Farman Khan, Sohail Gil, and nutritionist Dr. Nabeel.
In his remarks, Anwar expressed appreciation for the support from the Pakistan Sports Board and highlighted the federation’s dedication to advancing bodybuilding in Pakistan. He also noted the significance of the first Anti-Doping Awareness Seminar held in conjunction with the event.
