Pakistan Shaheens Squad Announced for England Tour

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has unveiled an 18-member squad for the Pakistan Shaheens’ upcoming tour of England. The team is set to compete in two three-day matches and three 50-over games from July 17 to August 6. Fixture dates and venues will be disclosed later.

Saud Shakeel, with 19 Test caps, will captain the side, bolstered by the presence of Test veterans Mir Hamza, Musa Khan, and Sajid Khan. The squad also features standout performers from the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25, Azan Awais and Maaz Sadaqat.

The batting lineup will consist of Ali Zaryab, Haider Ali, Mohammad Suleman, Omair Bin Yousuf, and Shamyl Hussain. Rohail Nazir is set to handle wicket-keeping duties.

The pace attack includes Mushtaq Ahmed, who claimed 77 wickets in recent domestic competitions, alongside Shahid Aziz and Ubaid Shah. The spin department features Faisal Akram, Mehran Mumtaz, Mubasir Khan, and Sajid Khan.

Prior to their departure on July 16, the squad will engage in a training camp at Karachi’s Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre.

The support staff includes head coach Imran Farhat, bowling coach Rehan Riaz, fielding coach Mohtashim Rasheed, analyst Usman Hashmi, and physio Ali Sufyan.
