Rawalakot: Poonch University Rawalakot held a special ceremony to mark Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, featuring flag hoisting and prayers dedicated to national security, stability, and the freedom of Kashmir.

According to University of Poonch Rawalakot, the event was attended by former Dean and Registrar Dr. Abdul Khaliq, along with other senior university officials including Deans from various faculties. During the ceremony, attendees expressed a deep commitment to the national cause and the specific goal of striving for Kashmir’s freedom, in line with Pakistan’s aspirations.

Professor Dr. Mehboob Alam, Dean of Engineering, emphasized the importance of defining and fulfilling responsibilities towards achieving these national objectives. He highlighted the unique role of educated individuals in society, urging the academic community to lead by example and renew their dedication to these goals on Independence Day. Special prayers were also offered for Pakistan’s ongoing security and the pursuit of freedom for Kashmir.
