Sargodha: In a significant boost to Pak-China educational cooperation, Mr. Zhao Shirin, the Chinese Consul General in Lahore, has introduced a new scholarship initiative, awarding Rs. 1 million to support students at the University of Sargodha (UoS).
According to University of Sargodha, the “Consular General Scholarship” was announced during a meeting between Mr. Zhao and Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, the Vice Chancellor of UoS. The scholarship aims to assist both merit-based and financially needy students, reinforcing the educational bond between the two nations. Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting it as both a financial aid and an investment in the futures of UoS students and the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and China in the field of education.
The Vice Chancellor remarked on the strong educational ties and shared commitment to academic excellence that this gesture represents, noting that it exemplifies the enduring partnership and mutual desire to support student success irrespective of economic barriers.
