Peshawar: The University of Peshawar has announced the opening of admissions for its Postgraduate Diploma program in Geomatics, which focuses on GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote Sensing, for the academic year 2024-25.

According to University of Peshawar, the program is designed to equip students with advanced skills in capturing, storing, analyzing, and displaying geographically referenced data. This training is integral for those looking to enhance their expertise in sustainable development projects, decision-making, and project planning through the integration of various technological tools and data sources. The diploma program requires candidates to hold at least a BA or BSc degree, equivalent to 14 years of education, to be eligible.

The admission schedule is as follows: the last date for submitting admission forms is August 19, 2024, followed by the display of the merit list on August 21. The formal admission process, including document scrutiny and fee remittance, will take place on August 22, with admissions from the waiting list scheduled for August 23. Classes are set to commence on September 2, 2024.
