Rawalpindi: In a fervent address during the Majlis Noor on “Noor Day,” celebrated nationwide, Tehreek Nafaze Fiqh Jafariya’s (TNFJ) leader Allama Aghasid Hussain Maqdisi emphasized the unyielding commitment to protect religious freedoms in Pakistan. This statement comes as a reiteration of the enduring values enshrined in the Musavi Junejo Agreement, which the TNFJ sees as a pivotal document safeguarding these freedoms.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Allama Maqdisi detailed the historical struggles faced by religious communities in Pakistan, including the challenges during Zia-ul-Haq’s martial law era which saw the banning of key religious observances. He credited the TNFJ’s prolonged activism, which culminated in the lifting of these bans, as pivotal in the formation of the Musavi Junejo Agreement. The agreement is hailed as a testament to the country’s commitment to religious liberty, which TNFJ vows to defend against any infringement.

Allama Maqdisi also highlighted the broader sacrifices made by the Pakistani army and police in maintaining national peace and stability, linking them to the spiritual sacrifices of Imam Musa Kazim. He stressed that the teachings of Imam Musa Kazim are crucial for the peace and prosperity of Muslims worldwide and should be actively embodied by the community.

The celebration of “Noor Day” not only marks the religious significance of Imam Musa Kazim’s contributions but also serves as a platform for TNFJ to affirm their stance on maintaining religious sanctity and freedom against any adversarial forces. The event also set the stage for the upcoming 8-17 Safar Ushra Asiran Karbala, further emphasizing their dedication to Islamic teachings and heritage.
